The brief for this project was to create a dynamic advert that could be used for promo on social media. I chose to create an advert for a fictional campsite, creating the illustrations first in Illustrator, then imported them into After Effects to animate.

I started with a story board, and you can see that the final piece didn’t stray far from it. I enjoyed working through the heavy thinking first on paper, before bringing it into After Effects. It took a couple of iterations to nail the scenes and get the story across with the tone I was going for. I’ve included this first pass below so you can see the progress before I went back in to refine it.
